Do you’ve a Gmail id? Then, this entry is for you only. Chances are pretty high that you are not the only one who is accessing your Gmail account. If your password is weak then your Email id could be easily compromised. Kindly go through my entry Making of Strong Password to keep a strong password. OK. Let’s see how to find out if someone logged in your Gmail account.

Gmail (Google) has a track of all activities on their server, but it provides last 10 activities for us. If you want to see your account activities, follow the simple two steps below,

  • Login to your Gmail account using a web browser.
  • Click the Details link next to the Last account activity line at the bottom of any Gmail page.

This will open the window with details of Activity on this account.

These details are listed below,

Access Type – your Gmail was accessed, using a regular web browser, through a POP / IMAP client, from a mobile device, etc.,

Location (IP address) – IP address from which the access was made, the associated location.

Date / Time – Login time (Displayed in your time zone)

These recent activity details are very useful to know about your login activities. In-case, if you find any suspicious login activities, change your password first & secure yourself.
